Tattooing over scar tissue

Hi guys,

I'm sure that at some point this subject has been covered before, but I
just 
found this group, and not sure how to search the archives (if there is
one). 
So please forgive me in advance, and if there are archives, please point
me 
to where I'll gladly go through the information.

I have a 20" scar that I am going to be covering with a tattoo that was 
drawn for me by an artist.  The tattoo artist is in NJ, Key****t (FatKat).
I've seen their work, and picked the tattoo artist who's work I fell in
love 
with.  It will take him approximately 4 hours to complete the coverage.

My concern is however, how will the tattoo take to the scar.  The scar is 
over 3 years old and I'm fair skinned, it's flat and is a straight line.
Have any of you experienced scar coverage and if so what is your
experience.
